Alan: I voted for John Anderson in 1980 because I was disillusioned with Carter's attempted rescue of American hostages rather than apologize to Iran for Uncle Sam's manipulation of Iranian politics)... and because John Anderson proposed a 50 cent per gallon federal tax hike. 

I only wish Trump had raised the tax to at least 50 cents a gallon.
