Enlightenment Through Play? (Caydence On Piano)

This video of Caydence is very cool.

I can't help noticing the ease with which she "plays" while the adults in the background busy themselves with worldly occupations. 

Although Shakespeare did not mean it the way his "mere words" indicate, it is neverless true that "The play's the thing!" 

Sure, there are all kinds of "worldly tasks" that need taking care of. 

And clearly "the kids" can't take care of them. 

But overall, most adults refuse to take advantage of their "labor-saving devices" in order to "free up" play-time. And instead, they feel compelled to fill "the open panorama" (in which "free play" might take place) with "something to do."

Notably, we are at least three times as occupied -- and pre-occupied -- as we were before soap and electricity and for many people (quite likely most) "making work" is the death of enlightenment.

Or, more accurately, the "still birth" of enlightenment.

Buddhist tulku, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, says that most people flee enlightenment (as soon as they "catch a glimpse") because they are afraid of it's boundless openness - and "freezing the space" provides them a simulacrum of "solidity" which, in turn, makes them "feel" secure even though security is ultimately illusion.
