Am I missing something?

I have long lived with the sense that it will take but one more Big Terror Attack on American soil before the citizenry openly -- and passionately -- embraces rabid fascism. 

"And the winner, in the white turban!" 

Frankly, I am amazed that such an attack has not already happened. 

Consider: 95% of America's train stations are unmanned... and big city teaching hospitals are the softest targets in the world. 

Go figure.
