Insufficient Taxation and Destruction of The United States

Taxation is not only a good idea.

Taxation is the price we pay for civilization.

Currently, Americans do not pay enough tax to enable civilization's prosperity.

Even in the halls of government - and despite government's many shortcomings - we "get what we pay for."

Although there are multiple reasons for "The Great Unraveling," America's Body Politic is at risk of "un-doing" because we do not pay sufficient tax to maintain a reasonable ratio between "wealth at the top" and "wealth at the bottom." (See "Table 1" and "Figure 1" at http://www2.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/power/wealth.html)

The relationship between "Wealth Disparity" and "The Great Unraveling" is "readably" documented in the following articles:

2.) "A Hedge Fund Republic" by Nicholas Kristof - http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/18/opinion/18kristof.html

3.) "How to End The Great Recession" by Robert Reich -http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/03/opinion/03reich.html

4.) Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz, "Of the 1%, by the 1%, and for the 1%" -http://www.vanityfair.com/society/features/2011/05/top-one-percent-201105

Grover Norquist does more damage to the United States of America than the world's terrorist organizations in the aggregate. http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Grover_Norquist

Conservative, Thatcherite historian/economist Niall Ferguson explains the catastrophic effects of Norquist's no-tax "policy" in “Dogma to Wreck the Country” - http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2011/07/24/gop-antitax-dogma-endangers-the-country.html
